Evolve provides functionality to set up Bills of Materials for assembled items, and to then manage the assembly process through the creation of Assembly Documents. Upon posting an Assembly Document, inventory is automatically updated to reflect the consumption of the components and the output of the parent item.
Bills of Material can be defined to be firm (no variations in components) or flexible for cases where variations occur in the makeup of the parent item at times (for example, if an extra part needs to be included one time).
