Application Framework


Evolve is a next-generation system developed from the ground up for the Windows environment, using a powerful back-end database. The system can handle dozens of simultaneous users, sharing data across your company to optimize workflow and communication.

From the outset, Evolve was designed to bring the benefits of big-enterprise systems to small organizations. A core framework was developed to provide a powerful and consistent set of features across all functional areas:

A powerful and scalable back-end database facilitates up to dozens of users, and stores data in a common repository for company-wide access to ensure effective communication. Data access is restricted where needed using Evolve's versatile User Security features.

A flexible, windowed interface streamlines system activities. When a user needs to change data in another area, he/she can jump to the respective screen and perform the update without closing the current window. There is no disjointed exiting in and out of screens to perform system functions.

Powerful querying tools enable users to easily find the data they need. For any list of data in the system, users can execute queries based on any field. No custom programming is required to enable searching on new fields; the query facility picks them up automatically.

A unique "QuickView" feature enables common queries to be saved under meaningful names so they can easily be recalled each day. For example, a query may be set up to show "Backorder" status orders. This could be saved as a QuickView with the name "Backorder List" so that it can be called up each day with two mouse clicks.

A consistent user interface provides the same tools across the entire application, ensuring that users are able to easily learn new functionality once they know the basic system processes. A number of time-saving interface features (copy-down from previous line, double-click value copying) maximize the efficiency of system users.

Evolve features tools to automatically e-mail PDF versions of documents or fax them to customers/suppliers. Communicating quotes and orders is a breeze!

Tight integration with Microsoft Excel allows for virtually unlimited data analysis capabilities.

Users can e-mail live links to system data to other users to facilitate workflow and further enhance communication. If a user identifies data that needs to be investigated, he/she can e-mail a link to the responsible person. That individual can then simply click the link to open the source document in Evolve to begin the investigation.

All data in Evolve is managed using a standard list form featuring a number of tools for searching/filtering data, as well as moving data to Excel for further analysis.

A flexible data querying tool enables users to filter any set of data by any field in the underlying table.

Users can save defined queries and assign meaningful names to provide easy future access.

Users can e-mail live links to Evolve data to other users. A single click will then open the source data right within Evolve.
