Evolve features a full time entry / billing module. Whether you just need to track time for costing
purposes against orders or projects, or want to automatically bill time back to clients, Evolve is
flexible enough to meet your needs.
Time is entered against projects and individual tasks (see the Project Management module details) for each resource (which is typically a person). Work can be categorized by "Work Classes" that are definable by your company (for example, an accounting firm may set up an "AUDITING" work class).
Time can be billed as billable, non-billable, or overtime, and costing and billing processes take these settings into account. The Resource Billing Setup enables combinations of resource and work class to determine what "Item ID" to use for billing on invoices, and a flexible pricing structure facilitates pricing variations within the selected Item ID.
An automated function will retrieve unbilled time entries onto a client invoice; a bulk function can even generate (and automatically post and send, if desired) invoices for all clients that have unbilled entries in the system.
Time Entry information is integrated into the Analytics module, providing a Trend Analysis tool for posted time entries.

Time Entry information can be keyed in using a line-by-line journal format (one line for each bit of work completed) or… (see next screenshot)

Alternatively, time entry can be done on a weekly basis if exact start/end times each day are not critical. This streamlines the entry process.

A flexible matrix enables the combination of resource and work class to determine the "Item ID" to be used for billing. A flexible pricing structure on the Item setup facilitates custom rates for certain projects or clients.
